(Above): Chris James covered every inch of the ramps here and went higher than everyone.
Colony Hard Yards 2025 was hectic.
I was lucky enough to go this year and spectate.
Being fortunate to see the ramp setup and understand the size of the gaps some of the riders did and attempted.
I want to really cement that, so that when you see the videos, you can understand the level of riding was off the charts.
There were riders I didn't even know, mixed in with literal X-Games and Olympic gold medalists. It was a treat to watch everyone cheer each other on.
The format was five groups of five in a jam format for 20 minutes each.
The cool thing was riders weren't trying to perfect one run - they really only did the run once and it all led towards one trick, or a few tricks they wanted to do. Then if it was pulled, they'd move onto the next thing. It really felt like a jam in that sense.
I shot some photos of some of the wildness. Shooting a jam/comp is hard, you don't really know what's going to happen and where... But I did my best.
Enjoy the photos.

Izac Berryman shut down this transfer with a massive flail.
The man Kaz Campbell sprayed his style all over the ramps, big downside fastplant.
Pete Mayer battled for a few tricks and conquered them all. Huge wallride fufanu.
Martyn Cooper came over from the UK with Tom Justice and had a mean style in practice - super solid. He then dropped into his jam runs and did crazy tricks back to back - like this 360 whip tap to whip in.
It was a treat watching Logan Martin do his thing on these ramps. So much height, power and straight up gnarliness. Whip to table transfer.
Karl Southern did so much cool stuff all day, including this triple truck driver transfer!
Kaz laying it over with style.
Pete with a death-defying fufanu on the back rail. It's a bigggg drop on the other side!
Awesome to see Nikki Buckard tearing up the ramps!
Logan Martin laid down this savage flair downside whip early on and then went on to smack out a double flair in best trick. Crazy to see that in person.
Speaking of crazy in person, Kaz's 360 transfer was so badass - such a weird offset to this transfer as well as being huge.
