ACT JAM 2025: Braddon and Stromlo set to host Australia’s and world’s best freestyle BMX riders

Canberra’s about to get rad.

From 7–9 November 2025, the ACT JAM BMX returns for three days of pure BMX madness, bringing together some of the best riders from Australia and around the world to throw down their biggest tricks and chase bragging rights at one of the most iconic BMX events on the calendar. 

Hosted by FACT BMX Club and Backbone BMX’s Tyson Jones-Peni, ACT JAM is more than just a BMX event, it’s a full-blown celebration of BMX culture, creativity, and community.

“This year, we’re bringing ACT JAM right into the city centre,” event organiser Tyson Jones-Peni said.

“Braddon and Stromlo are going to be buzzing with riders flying through the air on ramps unique to the event, music, and a crowd that’s right there in the middle of it all.”

Braddon goes off On Friday 7 and Saturday 8 November, Braddon’s Elouera Street (between Mort and Lonsdale) will turn into a street-style BMX park. Right outside BentSpoke BrewPub and Blackfire Restaurant, the city will come alive with high-air, best trick, and long jump comps featuring some of the most dialled riders in the game.

It’s a family-friendly event with a festival feel, perfect for spectators of all ages to get up close to the action, cheer on the riders, and soak up the atmosphere.

Sunday at Hillfire BMX jumps

 The final day shifts gears to the Hillfire jumps at UC Canberra Stromlo Forest Park, where riders will hit the dirt at one of Australia’s best freestyle jump parks. Expect big lines, big sends, and a whole lot of style as the weekend wraps up in true ACT JAM fashion.

“We’re inviting Canberrans to come down and check it out,” says Jones-Peni. “You’ll see Australia’s, and some of the world’s best riders throwing down their biggest tricks. It’s going to be wild.”
